What type of ride would you like for Saturday? Current weather forecasts indicate it will be a beautiful ride day. If we decide to do a century to St. Genevieve there would be a short option for those under a time constraint. The turn-around would probably be in Freeburg. My thoughts on a century are: riding at a reasonable pace down with at least one rest stop. Having lunch and relaxing some in St. Genevieve then heading back, again at a moderate pace with at least one rest stop. What does anyone else think?

Steve,
The ride you describe sounds awesome! I think the 100 sounds perfect. For those who don't want to go that far ... the Freeburg turnaround is nice. We can make sure we have some different groups so that everyone can enjoy the ride!

I'm interested in a century as long as we start early (like 6am) and finish by 2. Craig

I'm game for at least a few hours (50-60miles) of riding (returning by mid-morning).

Not doing the ride this saturday.
Considering a run up to Yorkville, IL for Riding the Rivers ($70)Century, Aug. 16th. Fundraiser for environmental cleanup in IL.
Likely.

I really appreciate all the comments. I think we set a new record for replies to a topic! It looks like we should probably put off the St. Genevieve ride for at least another week. For a reasonable alternative, I have a map for a metric century that heads to St. Libory via New Baden and returning through Freeburg. I hope this doesn't dampen anyone's plans.
